Q: Does Apple TV
really require an HDTV?
A: No, but it does require a TV with
a component input (or HDMI, which is only available on HDTV and some EDTV sets). Component input consist of three jacks - Red, Green & Blue. Note that older TVs often have
composite input (single yellow jack) or possibly S-Video input (round black 4-pin connector). There is no cost-effective way to convert the Apple TV's component or HDMI output to connect to a TV that has only composite or S-Video inputs.
