First you should know the right player for playing Vuze videos:
1..mpg .mpeg .wav .mp3 .avi are supported by most players out of the box
2.wmv .wma are supported by most cross-platform and DirectShow players if they are not DRMed. If they contain DRM they should be played with a recent version of Windows Media Player
3.flac .aac .ac3 .mkv .mp4 are supported by most cross-platform players. DirectShow players may require additional filters
4.mov .qt require apple's Quicktime. Some of them might play on other players when renamed to .mp4
5..rm .rmvb require realnetworks' realplayer

On Mac OS X, we often use Flip4Mac Player to play the Vuze video, also can use VLC player and QuickTime with Perian plug-in.
