How to Sync iPhone Ringtone on MacThis is a featured page

A lot of iPhone users have problem syncing iPhone ringtones. Some questions are like "I can't sync ringtone to iPhone", "unable to sync ringtone to iPhone" and so on. Some are more detailed, such as:

"it shows up as a ringtone in iTunes, but it won't sync to the phone. I've restarted my phone several times, hoping that would do it. I've removed all my ringtones, then re-synced them...but still nothing."

"I have ringtones in ringtone folder yes have changed to m4r, can play ringtones on pc and all are under 30 seconds long, have tried syncing ringtones but can only manage to get one on my phone."

Well, if you ever encounter this kind of problems, you can find a solution from the following, especially Mac users.

1. Sometimes you just need to deauthorize your computer and reauthorize it

2. Make sure that:

Ringtones are .m4r format and play in iTunes
All the ringtones are under 40 seconds
They show up under the ringtones tab
They are in the ringtone section of iTunes under library

3. If the ringtone is in iTunes and not appearing on your iPhone after a successful sync, make sure that none of the song fields (song name, artist, composer, etc) have special characters (like quotes, for example iPhone-Ringtone the"-" will cause the syncing problem).

4. For Mac users, if the problem still exists, you can use mac iPhone ringtone maker. It has a Ringtone Manager, which enables you to sync iPhone ringtone skipping iTunes, and allows you to make custom ringtones (up to 60 seconds) from any audio/video format.

If you make a ringtone(up to 60 seconds) with this app, it will automatically sync the ringtone to your iPhone skipping iTunes.

If you have ringtones that can't be synced with iTunes, you can use this app. Add the ringtone to your iTunes library > Ringtone, and then click "Manager". Ringtone Manager has 2 lists. All the ringtone files in the left list are those saved in your iTunes, and those in right one are your iPhone ringtones. Highlight any ringtone you need in any list, you can then transfer it between iTunes and iPhone. You can also delete or pre-listen to the ringtones. So, all the sync or transfer iPhone Ringtone work can be done skipping iTunes and your problem can be solved too.
