edit rm files with sony vegas, converting rm to Vegas, importing rm files into Sony Vegas
RM format is created by RealNetworks to stream multimedia content over the Internet. Real Media rm features a rather small size compared with the Windows Media Format wmv and avi. However, due to competition between Microsoft and Real Networks, Windows Media Player does not support Real Media video files and rm files can’t be edited directly on windows-based video editing suites like sony vegas and windows movie maker. Question：Sony Vegas 9 will not import rm files.
This is a problem, I want good effects but Vegas wont accept my .rm files. I just want to use it on Vegas 9.0, help please!
So what would be the simplest process if I had a .rm file and wanted to edit it in sony vegas? Is there anyway to import RM files into Sony Vegas?
Sony Vegas only supports some special video formats, like avi,wmv, mp4(H.264/AVC video codec, AAC audio codec) or MPEG2 well, if you have videos with .rm extension, you need a right converter to convert your RM videos to a format sony vegas can edit, then you can import it into sony vegas.
