Canon MXF to Sony Vegas Converter-Edit MXF file in Sony Vegas

Be start with, I will focus on solving MXF problems with Canon XF100, which shots footages in MXF format. Once the footage is recorded longer than 20 minutes, the size of the file will be more than 2GB. Since FAT file system does not support a file more than 2GB size, the camcorder will automatically record the next video clip in a new file. For example, the footage will be recorded like this:
00000.MXF (2GB)
00001.MXF (2GB)
00002.MXF (2GB)

When connecting your Canon to your PC, you can directly operate the storage folder of your camcorder, and then you can copy it to the hard drive of your PC with ease. Also, Vegas can recognize the .MXF files and support to directly import them. Even so, the following problems may happen:

1. Choppy frames at the end of the 2GB MXF footage;
2. Sony Vegas is not able to import the 2GB video clip;
3. The program crashes after the file is imported.
4. It takes much time to render the MXF videos for Sony Vegas editing.
